HistoryIn 1964, Tom Drewes founded Mid-West Library Services. The goal was to provide books to libraries that publishers found hard to sell. The reputation of the company quickly became established as a "Quality Company that provides quality materials". James Leathers, who before his death served as Director of Mid-Continent Library in Independence, Missouri, recommended to other library associates the "Quality" materials that were available from Tom Drewes. This widespread reputation and recommendation led to the company name change to Quality Books Inc. Since its inception, the company has outgrown three facilities in the greater Chicago area and one in Lake Bluff, Illinois. In November, 1994, Quality Books Inc. moved to its current location in Oregon, Illinois. Quality Books Inc. is owned by Dawson Holdings PLC. Quality Books Inc. Home
